Title: Kind of a knockoff
Review: The quality of the video is excellent. The qualiry of the story is only okay. It’s kind of a knock-off of the once great movie series. Based on this story, I doubt there will be a sequel. It’s an immprobable story about the relationiship of the two protagonists, and the story seems kind of forced to show how Snow becomes a bad guy.

Title: Prequel Shines with Snow , Flickerman,and Dr.Gaul but Flounders with Too Much Singing Lucy
Review: I purchased this movie more or less out of curiosity. Based upon the trailers, I did not anticipate much of the storyline going beyond the singing and posturing of Lucy Gray, a young circus performer who is a talented snake charmer. She is reaped from District 12 for The Hunger Games arena and is assigned to mentor Coriolanus Snow, a starving University student. Snow, who is very politically astute, catches the attention of Dr. Gaul, who seizes the opportunity to maneuver him into saving ,The Games, her pet project. As the action around The Games unfolds, we see weatherman, amatuer magician, Lucky Flickerman, humorously emceeing the event to the TV audience’s delight. All three characters were as solid as the actors who portrayed them (Tom Blyth, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis ). Like the book, the movie has three parts: It is during Part III, The Peacekeeper, there is foreshadowing. While Lucy Gray and Coryo Snow are sitting by a lake, one of Lucy’s friends runs up to them offering a long stemmed green plant she has picked. Lucy accepts the plant, examines it and explains to Snow that it is a “swamp potato” and is known as katniss. As she describes the plant, you can hear James Newton Howard’s instrumental tune “Katniss,” softly playing in the background. I was both thrilled and nostalgic from this scene for the previous heroine, Katniss Everdeen, who was inspirational.

Review: This review has nothing to do with the movie, it has to do with Canadian customers being informed before they buy. The stars are to reflect on the customer service I received from Lion’s Gate Digital. For all you Canadian customers, the digital code WILL NOT work in Canada. Lion’s Gate Digital were absolutely no help with this issue. Amazon was great however – when I explained the situation they refunded me a reasonable amount to cover the cost of the missing digital code. Just because you are buying a blu-ray with digital code on the Canadian Amazon site, and it says it’s being shipped from Amazon.ca it does not mean you are getting what you think you paid for. I would never had paid the price of this blu-ray if I knew the digital code wasn’t going to work.

Review: Me gustó mucho la película como historia de la juventud de Snow y película de los Juegos del Hambre. Sin embargo, creo que hubiera quedado mejor dividida en dos películas, ya que abarca dos historias que se podrían haber detallado mejor en dos entregas. Por lo demás, me gustó la historia y los personajes, especialmente los protagonistas y antagonistas, el desarrollo de la relación de Snow y Lucy, lo maquiavelico que podía ser Snow de joven y como mostraban lo tosco qué eran los primeros Juegos en comparación a la sofisticacion y espectáculo que vemos que se armaba en la época de historia de Katniss
