Is Gambit coming to the MCU?
Is Regin Cajun (not James Carville) coming to the MCU? In the Instagram and X post, Reynolds says that “a version of this sequence” made it into the deadpool and wolverineas it plays on one of the TV screens in the background at the TVA. He also says, “*whispers* Marvel Sparkle Circle,” which I assume means one of the portals created from a sling ring, which the title heroes used in the movie to escape the void. It appears that Reynolds is suggesting that Tatum will return as Gambit in another MCU movie. And according to Diversity In an article published earlier this month, Tatum talked about putting on a brown coat and getting ready to play his deadly game again.

However, if I had my way, I would give Taylor Kitsch another chance to play the character in what will hopefully be a better movie than this one. X-Men Origins: WolverineThis man was the real Henry Cavill, who was betrayed every time he was on the verge of his big break, the most heartbreaking example of which was the excellent John Carter. I liked him as Gambit in an otherwise lousy movie (though it did have one great scene, and I don't mean the opening battle montage), and it would be nice to see him again. Tatum is actually a year older than Kitsch, so age won't be an issue. But that's not realistic; Tatum is a big name, and the momentum is his now, so I think it's possible he'll come back.
I also hope he doesn't get his own movie and just appears in the X-Men movie. Not every character needs to work alone, and while I like Gambit, I don't know that he can carry a movie alone, especially with Tatum playing him. He was fine as Gambit in scenes where he had five other good actors doing the heavy lifting, but he's not a particularly strong performer. This also presents another multiverse problem, because this Gambit will be from another dimension when he meets the X-Men, and it'll likely be a dimension in which he was part of his own X-Men team; once again, Marvel is moving quickly through story and character arcs, the same thing they were once very good at doing. This Gambit won't need to be recruited; he'll probably seek out the X-Men or join them Avengers: Secret Wars Or any other movie. They can't really top “The Multiverse Saga” for me. But in general, this is good news. However, I have to admit I would have been more excited to see Wesley Snipes' Blade walk across the battlefield.
