I don't think so a minecraft movie It is for me. I never liked the game, and I'm baffled by how it became the best-selling video game of all time. But the movie itself seems pretty silly and childish, which is probably a good way for them to go. minecraft This is a game I can see being popular with kids; it's not offensive, so parents won't mind it, and if my understanding is correct, it's something that will test and perhaps improve their puzzle solving abilities, e.g. Tetris. A movie won't be as interactive as a game, so they might as well make it fun for kids. Casting Jack Black is a good step in this direction, and it looks like he's making video game adaptations his new specialty, with a minecraft movie this is his third Super Mario Bros. Movie (which I believe influenced the title) and LimitIt's not a bad thing for someone like Black to carve out a niche for himself, and embodying a series of popular video game characters could win him a new generation of fans.
If I'm not mistaken, I think Black's Steve is the only character in the video games. a minecraft movieSo Jason Momoa and others are playing the original roles. It makes sense; it feels kind of Jumanji The kind of setup where real-world players pop up in the game, or something. That being said, Momoa's outfit in the trailer is… weird. He's wearing a pink jacket, and he has a horrible wig. They could be playing against type for comedic effect, like showing a big, manly-looking man like Jason Momoa in pink. But I doubt it was Momoa's idea; Fast XWhile he played the villain, there is a point in the movie where he strangely starts dressing like a woman, starts painting his nails, and walks around carrying a pocketbook. It appears that all of this has happened to him. At Momoa's behestAn attempt to change his macho image. I think that's what he wanted a minecraft movietoo, and he certainly looks different. Given that this is Warner Bros., it could also be some stupid studio talk because Barbie's Success. (“Probably barbie it was so popular because people like the color pink” is the sort of stupid thing someone in a Hollywood suit would say to a boardroom full of grown men.)
Aside from the casting, the computer animation doesn't look that great, though I get that they're trying to capture the look of the game. Okay, but based on the trailer, I don't think it translates that well into the movie. And I don't really see what big evil they'll have to protect the overworld from, other than silly farm animals with block-like bodies. But, again, it's not for me; it's for me minecraft fans, many of whom will be young children, and I hope they have a good time with it. If a minecraft movie makes it as much money Super Mario Bros. MovieI think it's a safe bet that video game adaptations will be the next big thing for Hollywood; if, on the other hand, it happens Limit BusinessThis trend might stall before it gains any real momentum.
