Title: HOOK HOOK GIVE US THE HOOK!
Review: Oh man what a great blast from the past from my childhood. I haven’t seen this movie in years, but when I saw it on prime video, I decided to revisit it. I’m glad I did, because rewatching it brought back so many fond memories and so much joy. RIP Robin WIlliams. This film shows how funny and talented he was and reminds us of what a treasure of a human being we lost when he passed.It really wasn’t much more to purchase this film than it was to rent it through prime video. So, I opted to just buy it instead of renting. I’m glad I did, because I have already watched it several times and likely will many more times as well. Do yourself a favor and just buy this one!

Title: Great Autumn Movie Night Movie
Review: I watched Hook on repeat when my children were growing up. I decided to re-watch it after the passing of Dame Maggie Smith, who played Wendy. It gave me chills seeing her and Robin Williams interacting, Wendy and Peter Pan together again.

Title: Nostalgiac and still enjoyable
Review: Yeah it has some of that awful 90s stuff going on and yeah it’s mushy and sentimental to a fault, but I still love this movie. Steven Spielberg can capture childlike wonderment and fanciful fantasy like no other director, and aided by John Williams’ score, only a monster could hate this. A few of the kids put in great performances, a few are ultra cringe, but Robin Williams is great, Dustin Hoffman is an excellent villain and Bob Hoskins is a delight. Plus, this is a kid’s movie filled with murder and multiple uses of the cuss word for butt (I have to say it that way for the Amazon review), which is funny to me. I didn’t think this was going to hold up against my aged cynicism, but I was wrong. It’s just good, classic Spielberg fun. I don’t know why there was a reevaluation that decided this was a “bad movie”, honestly. It isn’t the best movie ever made but it’s a great time and has some wonderful moments. I’d rather watch this any day than the drivel they feed kids today. Stupid Minions.
