Trailer: Moana 2 (2024)
Today, Walt Disney Animation Studios posted a new Moana 2 Trailer on their official YouTube channel. Like previous marketing for the animated sequel, this trailer focuses on Moana's younger sister, Simia, and her tribe setting out on a new journey. We hear part of a brand new song from the film, in which Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) talks about leading her people across the ocean, and some sort of weather monster is introduced. And, of course, no Moana story would be complete without Maui (Dwayne Johnson), god of the wind and sea. Moana 2 Will be released in theaters on 27th November. Watch the latest trailer here:

I've mentioned this before, but I don't like the “big sister, little sister” exchange. I hope and believe that Moana and Simia's relationship will be even better than it usually is. It's not that it's silly; Goofy conversations can be endearing and hilarious, strengthening a bond between characters. It sounds super modern or something. Does this bother anyone else? tell me. I don't mean to go into detail on such a small thing, but they put it in the trailer, which hints that the movie will be pretty much like this, or they want us to assume as much.
As I mentioned earlier, we hear, “Finally, we're back to where we're meant to be” during the trailer, first by Moana alone, then presumably by a chorus of tribe members. It feels oddly forced and artificial until the entire tribe gets involved. It's weird because Auli'i Cravalho has a beautiful voice and she was a total charmer. Original MoanaLike the humor, I hope the music works better in the context of the film than this short excerpt from the trailer. This is probably a spin-off of the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda Mufasa instead of Moana 2A decision that still baffles me from his and Disney's perspective. I am sure Mufasa Will make money because there is no justice in the world, but creatively, it's over as quickly as it came. I don't understand why Miranda would want to be associated with this and why would he leave the franchise he is already associated with. I also have to wonder if this is the right call for Disney; If songs in Moana 2 are disappointingit could be another Desire,
Of course, the animation is gorgeous, especially on water and landscapes. I wish I liked the music this much, and I really hope the songs are better than this little snippet. I'm thrilled Dwayne Johnson and especially Auli'i Cravalho are returning; Without them, there would have been no reason to make a sequel, especially to Auli'i. However, my main concern is Moana 2 The thing is, there's already no reason to make a sequel other than money. It began as an original Disney+ series. At some point, it was decided to remake it into a cinematic sequel. This was probably because Moana It was the last great Disney film, and the last few Disney animated films have flopped at the box office. disney and pixar have been announcing sequels left and right this year, so it's hard to believe the quality and intentions behind these projects. For what it's worth, I have higher expectations Moana 2 instead Incredible 3 Or toy story 5however, zootopia And frozen Sequels bother me very little because zootopia Searchable in many different ways, and I love it frozen iiFor Moana 2All we need to see is a great first film and trailer for the sequel with a different director and composer.
